Badugi Card Game
GameMonetize
Badugi is a four-card draw poker variant where the goal is to build the lowest possible hand with all four cards being different suits and different ranks — that combination is called a badugi, and it beats any incomplete hand. Each round you place a bet, draw up to four replacement cards across multiple betting rounds, and try to read whether your opponents are chasing a full badugi or bluffing with a weaker three- or two-card hand. The player with the best qualifying badugi at showdown wins the pot. The strategic depth comes from understanding hand rankings that run opposite to standard poker — low cards are good, and pairs or same-suit duplicates hurt you. Knowing when to hold a mediocre badugi versus when to draw aggressively is the central tension, and bluffing works because opponents can rarely see how many cards you replaced. New players need a few hands just to absorb the hand hierarchy before betting decisions start making sense. Sessions vary widely depending on table stakes and player count, but individual hands resolve quickly once the rules click.
