Bowmasters 2 is a browser-based 2D turn-based archery and projectile combat game. Two characters face each other on a scrolling terrain map and alternate turns firing weapons including bows, axes, grenades, and novelty launchers. You control shot angle by clicking and dragging to set a trajectory arc shown as a dotted line, then release to fire. Wind speed and direction, displayed as an arrow and numeric value, affect every shot and change each turn. Each character has a health bar; reducing the opponent to zero wins the round, and winning 3 rounds wins the match. The roster includes over 20 unlockable characters, each carrying a unique weapon with distinct physics properties and area-of-effect sizes. A versus mode lets two players share a keyboard, while a single-player mode pits you against AI opponents of adjustable difficulty. Matches against a single AI opponent take 3 to 8 minutes. Unlocking the full character roster requires winning roughly 30 matches. The game runs in the browser with no installation. Physics accuracy and wind reading are the central skills separating beginners from experienced players.
