Branches Game is a browser-based reflex game in which you guide a character along a vertical or horizontal path while ducking and dodging tree branches that appear at varying heights and speeds. The core mechanic is a single directional tap or click that switches your lane or posture to avoid each oncoming branch. Miss one and the run ends immediately, sending you back to zero. The speed of incoming branches increases steadily after roughly 15 seconds of survival, with a noticeable difficulty spike near the 30- and 60-second marks. Your score is a direct count of branches successfully passed, and a personal-best tracker is displayed between runs. There are no power-ups, lives, or checkpoints: each attempt is self-contained and lasts anywhere from 5 seconds for new players to several minutes for skilled ones. Typical sessions involve 5 to 15 attempts and last about 10 minutes total. The game runs in the browser without any download and suits both mouse-click and touchscreen input equally well.
