Castle Blaster 2D is a browser-based 2D siege-defense game in which you serve as the top soldier defending your king's castle against a rival kingdom. The game alternates between attack and defense phases. In defense phases you drag and position troops along your castle's battlements and click to fire arrows or cannonballs at advancing enemy units. In attack phases you aim siege weapons — a catapult and a cannon unlocked mid-game — at the enemy castle's walls, targeting structural weak points indicated by cracks. Both castles have visible health bars; reducing the enemy's to zero wins the battle. The campaign spans more than 20 missions, each escalating the enemy troop count and wall thickness. Gold looted from victories funds unit and weapon upgrades between missions. The game is optimized for mobile browsers with large tap targets but also plays on desktop with mouse input. A single mission typically takes three to seven minutes, and no installation is required. Difficulty spikes noticeably around mission 10 when armored infantry and shield-bearing units are introduced.
