City Run.io is a browser arcade game in which you sprint through gridded city streets collecting grey pedestrians to grow your mob. You control a single runner with WASD or arrow keys and absorb any unattached pedestrian you pass over. Once your group reaches 5 members it can collide with rival mobs controlled by AI opponents; larger groups absorb smaller ones on contact, while running into a bigger mob costs you members. Obstacles including buses, traffic barriers, and roadwork cones split your group if struck, so route planning matters. Each 3-minute match ends with a size-based leaderboard ranking all active mobs. Merging mechanics reward aggressive play in open intersections but punish reckless charges into bigger rivals. Narrow alleyways let smaller mobs ambush larger ones from the sides, creating risk-reward decisions in every block. Maps rotate between 4 city layouts. The game is browser-based, loads in under 10 seconds, and requires no account to play.
