Desert Rush is a browser-based arcade gem-matching game built around chain reactions and strategic color connections. Three animal characters are fleeing hunters across more than 30 distinct levels, and your job is to link matching colored gems on the board to fuel their attacks. Chains of 3 or more gems deal damage to pursuing enemies, and longer chains hit harder: a chain of 12 or more gems triggers a special aerial strike that clears a wide area. Boss encounters shift every stage, introducing new attack patterns and higher health pools that demand larger chains to beat efficiently. The difficulty curve is steady — early levels teach basic chaining while later levels add obstacles and faster enemy approach timers. Coins or points accumulate with each chain, and performance ratings unlock stage replays. A typical run through one level takes 3 to 6 minutes. The game runs entirely in the browser with no installation required.
