You position a single archer on a tower and watch enemies march toward it in waves. Between waves you spend gold earned from kills on upgrades covering arrow damage, attack speed, and passive abilities that trigger automatically during combat. The idle element means your archer keeps shooting even when you step away briefly, but active play matters because you manually aim special shots and decide which upgrades to prioritize each round. The goal is surviving increasingly large enemy waves without letting creatures reach and destroy your tower. Arrow speed upgrades tend to outperform raw damage in the early game because faster shots prevent enemies from clustering into a wall your archer cannot clear in time. The difficulty spikes noticeably around the fifth or sixth wave when armored enemies appear and soak several hits. Sessions can stretch to twenty or thirty minutes if you are doing well, but early tower losses happen fast and restart with no real penalty.
