Velopter is a one-button flying game with more depth than its single input suggests. Tap to flap-glide, release to dive, and the terrain scrolls beneath you as a continuous ribbon of gaps, tunnels and thermal updrafts. The trick is that momentum is conserved: exit a dive steep enough and you convert it into a soaring arc that carries you through a ceiling squeeze you could never flap into directly, so the game is secretly about energy management, diving to gain speed, converting speed to altitude, threading hazards while your momentum lasts. Collectibles sit on risk lines, the safe glide path and the hot line through the tunnel, and rings chained in sequence multiply their value, so score chasers ride the dangerous line on purpose.
