Army Playground 3D is a sandbox battle toy rather than a war sim, and it is better for owning that. You get cannons, aircraft and infantry units to deploy on open 3D battlegrounds, then watch physics settle the argument, artillery arcs are genuinely simulated, planes strafing ground targets can be shot down by your own flak if you misplace it, and half the fun is setting up ridiculous matchups to see which side the math favors. The campaign missions give structure, defend this hill with limited shells, escort that convoy, but the free-deploy mode is where the game actually lives. Unit variety is broader than the toybox presentation suggests, and every battle ends with a slow replay of the decisive shot. Mouse-driven, browser-native, free online, no download.
