City Zombie Survival 2D is a top-down shooter with one objective per map: clear the city of every zombie in it. You move with WASD and aim and fire with the mouse, which means you can walk backwards while shooting - a necessity, because the zombies come in groups and the maps are built with streets and buildings that funnel them into packs. You start with basic gear and unlock a katana plus pistols, shotguns, and other ranged weapons, and they are not interchangeable: a shotgun handles a corridor full of walkers, a pistol is what you use when you need to keep moving, and the katana exists for when something is already close enough that reloading is not an option. Standing still is how runs end, so the pattern is to draw a group, back away while firing, and cut down the stragglers. Maps take five to fifteen minutes to clear.
