Short Path Race is a browser-based strategy racing game in which you sprint along a narrow elevated track surrounded by water while managing a limited supply of platform tiles. Before each gap or obstacle you choose whether to spend tiles building a shortcut or save them for later crossings. The tension comes from tile economy: use too many early and you will be stranded at the final stretch; hoard them and a rival sneaks past through a shortcut you skipped. Races last roughly two to four minutes each. Controls are keyboard arrow keys or WASD for movement, with a single key press to place a tile. Opponents run on AI logic that also manages tile budgets, so the difficulty scales as rounds progress. Scoring is placement-based, and finishing in the top position on three consecutive tracks unlocks faster, longer courses. No download or installation required; the game loads and runs entirely in the browser.
