THE LAVA ESCAPE is a 2D side-scrolling platformer where you control a stickman sprinting through environments filled with lava pits, arrow traps, and patrolling monsters. You jump, double-jump, and time your movement to clear gaps and dodge projectiles fired from wall-mounted shooters. Boss floors feature double-stacked creatures that launch slow but wide projectiles, forcing you to find gaps in their attack patterns before pushing past. Progress is level by level across one hundred stages, each introducing new hazard combinations. The difficulty ramps steadily, and the boss encounters require several attempts before their attack rhythms become readable. Arrow traps are the most punishing early on because they fire on fixed cycles you need to memorize rather than react to. Most players will die frequently in the thirties and again around the mid-game boss clusters. A session on a familiar level takes under a minute, but learning a new one can mean ten or more restarts. It suits players who enjoy pattern-based platformers and are comfortable with repeated short attempts.
