Air Battles drops you into a top-down or third-person aerial shooter where you pilot a fighter jet, targeting enemy aircraft and ground installations across a series of missions. Missions have clear objectives — destroy a set number of enemies, protect an ally, or survive a wave — and completing them advances you through the campaign. Enemy fire patterns become genuinely difficult to read once multiple opponents attack simultaneously, so weaving rather than flying straight is essential from the second mission onward. Special attack cooldowns need to be saved for armored targets rather than wasted on small fighters.
