Battle of the Minds is a chess puzzle game that runs in the browser and pits you against a clock rather than an opponent. At the start of each session you pick a 3-minute or 6-minute timer, then work through a queue of board positions drawn from real game situations. Each puzzle requires you to find the single best move, whether that means delivering checkmate, winning a piece, or securing a decisive positional advantage. A correct answer awards points and advances you to the next puzzle immediately; a wrong click deducts partial credit and shows the correct solution for two seconds before moving on. Puzzles vary in tactical theme, covering pins, forks, skewers, and back-rank mates. Difficulty escalates as your cumulative score rises, so early puzzles are one-move mates while later ones involve three or four move combinations. Sessions end when the timer hits zero, and your final score is displayed with a breakdown by tactic type. No account is needed.
