Cars vs Zombies is a browser-based top-down arcade game in which you drive an armored vehicle through enclosed arenas filled with zombie swarms. You steer with WASD or arrow keys and ram enemies directly, with your car dealing damage on contact. Between waves you visit a garage where in-game currency earned from kills funds upgrades across four stat categories: speed, armor, damage, and turbo capacity. Bolt-on attachments like side blades and front rams are unlockable at specific currency thresholds. The game offers five maps with different arena shapes and obstacle layouts, and four vehicle classes ranging from a nimble compact to a heavy truck. Zombie density and aggression increase each wave, and boss zombies appear every fifth wave. A typical run through the first three maps takes 20 to 30 minutes. The game runs in the browser without any download.
