DIY Ugly Christmas Sweater is a browser-based dress-up and decoration game for one player starring three friends who each need a sweater for a holiday party. You work through all three characters in sequence, picking a base color for each sweater from a palette, then dragging and dropping decorations — Christmas trees, reindeer, snowmen, globes, string lights, and bows — anywhere on the fabric. The challenge is making all three sweaters visually distinct from one another, since the whole premise is that they compete for maximum ugliness rather than coordination. There are no timers or point totals; the session ends when you finish the third character and see the completed trio side by side. A single playthrough takes roughly five to ten minutes in the browser with no download. The mouse handles all placement and color selection on desktop. There is no difficulty curve, so the interest comes entirely from your own creative choices about which ornaments to stack and where.
