Nekomi Rescue is a side-scrolling action puzzle game where you guide a warrior through each level, cutting ropes, smashing crates, and clearing hazards to free cats trapped in cages. The controls are straightforward — tap or click to attack, jump to avoid spikes and enemies, and collect keys that open locked enclosures. Each stage scores you on how many cats you save and how quickly you finish, so speed and thoroughness pull in opposite directions. The early levels teach the basics gently, but traps start combining in ways that punish careless rushing by the midgame. A single misstep near a spike wall can cost you a life and drop your rating below three stars, so learning enemy patrol patterns before committing to a route pays off.
