Neon Space Defender is a browser-based arcade shooter in which you pilot a spacecraft through continuous waves of asteroids, drones, and boss enemies rendered in a high-contrast neon art style. Your ship moves in eight directions with keyboard WASD or arrow keys and fires automatically; your main decisions are positioning, choosing upgrade paths after each wave, and timing your limited bomb supply. After every fifth wave a heavier boss appears with a distinct attack pattern. The upgrade menu offers five weapon types including spread shot, laser, and homing missiles, plus armor and shield options you improve with scrap currency dropped by enemies. A radar in the corner tracks off-screen threats. Runs are endless with no fixed end point; the average session before losing a life pool of three lasts 15 to 25 minutes for new players. Score is tracked on a per-session leaderboard. The game loads in any modern browser on desktop and scales for mobile screens.
