Stellar Assault is a vertical space shooter where you pick one of four fighter classes and survive forty waves of alien attackers. Each wave arrives in formation or scattered depending on enemy type, and you dodge incoming fire while returning it with your primary weapon and any special abilities your ship carries. Destroying enemies and clearing waves earns upgrade points you spend between rounds on hull repairs, weapon damage, fire rate, or shield strength. The session ends when your hull hits zero, and the score reflects how deep into the forty waves you reached. Ship choice shapes the entire run. The Interceptor moves fast but hits softly, making it forgiving to pilot but slow to clear dense waves. The Dreadnought absorbs punishment and suits players who prefer to focus on offense without constant evasion. Upgrade priority matters: ignoring shields early leaves you fragile against the heavier mid-game waves, while over-investing in repairs at the expense of firepower makes later waves drag dangerously long. Runs last anywhere from ten minutes to half an hour depending on skill level.
