MARNYL Silence The Haters is a browser-based top-down shooter with a music industry theme. You play as YBORG across 6 distinct maps including an Arena, Studio, Festival, Rooftop, Club, and Concert Hall. Each map changes the layout and enemy entry points. Over 30 enemy types appear in escalating waves, ranging from basic critics to armored failed musicians. You collect XP from kills to level up during a run, and each level-up lets you choose a new or upgraded weapon from a pool of 10 music-themed options: vinyl discs, microphone, guitar, drums, saxophone, and AMP, among others. Boss battles trigger at fixed wave thresholds and require learning distinct movement and attack patterns. Controls use WASD for movement and the mouse for aiming and shooting. The game runs indefinitely until you die, with no save points between maps. A solid run covering several boss encounters typically lasts 15 to 30 minutes. Difficulty scales with wave count, not time, so killing quickly keeps pace manageable.
