Short Ride is a browser-based physics game in which you steer a bicycle rider through hand-built obstacle courses designed to destroy you in inventive ways. You hold the right arrow key or equivalent button to pedal forward and the left to brake or reverse, while your rider's body reacts to terrain with ragdoll physics, making balance and momentum management essential. Courses include rotating sawblades at fixed intervals, spike pits, swinging pendulum traps, crushing blocks, and steep ramps that send you airborne. The goal on each stage is to reach the finish flag without losing your head, arms, or enough body to count as dead. There are no checkpoints mid-level; failure restarts the attempt from the beginning. The game contains multiple distinct levels of increasing complexity, and a typical run through a single level lasts under two minutes, though mastering the harder stages can take 20 or more attempts. Sessions naturally run 10 to 20 minutes. The game runs entirely in the browser.
