Apocalypse Rush is a two-player keyboard brawler built for the couch, and the co-op design shows in the controls: Player 1 on arrows with K and L for shoot and special, Player 2 mirrored onto WASD with C and V. You fight through side-scrolling waves of the post-apocalypse standard inventory, runners, brutes, exploding things, and the friendly-fire rule is off by default which is the single smartest decision the game makes, because nothing kills a two-player evening faster than one friend's stray bullet. The special attacks charge separately for each player, so coordinating who burns theirs for the brute and who saves theirs for the swarm is the entire co-op skill. Solo works too, controlling both is chaos but survivable chaos. Free online, no download.
